Dance Studio Rental Agreement

(Please Read Carefully)

This Rental Agreement is between the individual named below ("Renter") and Dance Life Calgary ("Studio Owner"), located at Suite 3, 2312 4 St SW, Calgary, Alberta. By submitting this form, the Renter agrees to the following terms for any current and future rentals of the studio space:

1. Purpose of Agreement: The Renter agrees to rent the studio space at Dance Life Calgary for lawful activities and/or events. No unauthorized events or activities are permitted.

2. Rental Scheduling: All rental dates and times will be coordinated separately through direct communication using the Renter’s provided contact information (e.g., Instagram DM, email, or phone). This form does not confirm a booking. A rental is not confirmed until payment is received in full or a deposit has been paid, as specified by the Studio Owner. The Studio Owner reserves the right to offer the time slot to another renter if payment is not received within the agreed timeframe.

3. Rental Fees: The Renter agrees to pay rental fees as quoted by the Studio Owner for each specific rental session. Pricing may vary based on duration, time, usage type, or other factors. All fees will be confirmed and agreed upon in writing (e.g., DM, email, or text) prior to each booking. A deposit may be required to secure the booking.

4. Studio Use: The Renter agrees to use the studio responsibly and shall not:

   • Use the studio for any illegal or unauthorized activities.

   • Alter, damage, or make modifications to the space.

   • Permit others to use the space in violation of these terms.

5. Renter Responsibilities: The Renter agrees to:

   • Leave the studio clean, organized, and free of damage after each session.

   • Follow all operational procedures including how to enter, secure, and use the space.

   • Review and comply with the full operating instructions at https://www.dancelifecalgary.com/rental-instructions before each rental.

   • Notify the Studio Owner of any damages, issues, or safety concerns immediately.

   • Ensure that all participants adhere to studio rules and code of conduct.

   • Provide a written confirmation (via text, email, or DM) immediately after each rental, stating either (a) that the studio was securely locked and vacated, or (b) confirm that the next renter is present and has taken the studio over.

6. Studio Owner Responsibilities: The Studio Owner agrees to:

   • Provide access to the studio at agreed-upon times.

   • Maintain a clean and safe facility.

   • Address maintenance or access issues in a timely manner.

7. Liability: The Renter assumes full responsibility for all persons and property during their rental time. Dance Life Calgary and its representatives are not liable for any injuries, damages, theft, or losses.

8. Indemnification: The Renter agrees to indemnify and hold harmless the Studio Owner from any claims, damages, or liabilities arising from the Renter's use of the studio.

9. Cancellation: Deposits are non-refundable if the Renter cancels. If the Studio Owner cancels, any deposit will be refunded. 

10. Termination: The Studio Owner reserves the right to deny or terminate rentals for any reason, including violation of these terms. 

11. Agreement Duration: This agreement remains in effect for all future rentals unless replaced or revoked in writing.

12. Governing Law: This agreement is governed by the laws of Alberta, Canada.
